Nawaf Al-Bassam

President
As Operations Manager for Services International (1996-2000), Mr. Al-Bassam was responsible for managing daily operations, and streamlining business procedures for the Virginia transportation and travel company. By restructuring the company’s computer and software systems, Mr. Al-Bassam was able to streamline reservations, dispatch, and accounting resulting in a drastic decrease of overhead expenses. Further optimizing Service International’s operations, he retrained all employees under new Standard Operating Procedures that leveraged the company’s software.

After substantially increasing the efficiency of Services International operations, Mr. Al-Bassam was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing (2000-2005). He was in charge of increasing sales and re-branding Services International, while maintaining embassy accounts including the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Embassy of Qatar, and Embassy of the United Arab Emirates. Mr. Al-Bassam created an enterprising marketing plan targeting an increase in sales staff, aggressive marketing campaign and creation of new markets. In two years Mr. Al-Bassam increased sales revenue 8 fold by incorporating phased budgeting time lines and adding new accounts including Ritz-Carlton Tyson’s and Pentagon City, Willard Intercontinental Hotel Washington D.C., Virgin Atlantic, Boston Coach, Carrie Limousine, and Manor Care.

Mr. Al-Bassam left Services International, Inc. and started Al-Bassam Enterprises (2008 – current), a private equity company with primary concentrations in real estate and selected small business investment. During the unstable economic market of 2009 -2010, Al-Bassam Enterprises utilized a blend of big picture goals to maximize the potential of real estate investments. The end goal capitalized on profitable market opportunities with an eye toward the long-term impact of national and local economies.

Mr. Al-Bassam holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship from American University, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from George Washington University. Nawaf grew up in McLean, Virginia a suburb of Washington D.C. where he still lives.
